Always wonder how to save on produce and meats? Here are all of my tips…just for you!!!
I have gotten several messages from readers wanting to know how I save money on produce. There are several methods I use for saving money on produce the first is my favorite…garden! A couple of years ago I started my own above ground planters with lettuce, beets, cucumber, squash, potatoes, onions, green beans and some other various veggies we love to eat. I also use pots to grow tomatoes and jalapeno peppers…this is because they require FULL direct sunlight…but can also be a little temperamental, so I like to be able to move them around the yard if I need to. How to Build My Stockpile?
First thing to remember is IT TAKES TIME!!! It is not reasonable to expect to build it over night. You don’t need to think about how many items you buy at a time but more how often you may actually be buying that product. If I find a great stock up price on a specific item that I know my family will like and use….I typically will buy 3-5 of that product (depending on how many are available at the store). If it is something that is not typically stocked well…I may actually only buy 1-2 and then go to another store in my area to get a couple more. I…

Couponing 101: The 10 Most Important Facts a Beginner Should Know!!!
Couponing 101: The 10 Most Important Facts A Beginner Should Know 1. Be Patient. Its important to remember that “mastering” couponing takes time. You will not do everything right the first or even the fifth time. You will make lots of mistakes, but you will get better with every shopping trip you go on. 2. There is a start up cost. At the beginning you will spend some money out of pocket. You need to plan on spending money on your organizational system (binder, baseball card sleeves, envelopes, box…) as well as for 1-10 Sunday newspapers. There is also the cost of buying products that you will be getting Catalina’s…

My little secrets on how to save money on groceries….other than simply couponing!
I went shopping with a friend the other day and about midway through our trip I realized that there are so many ways I go about saving money on groceries/meals other than simply couponing! After a little thought…I decided I would love to share with you all a few of my “little secrets” 🙂 Grow your own produce! I try my hardest to grow at least 60% of the produce we will use for the summer…as well as the ingredients for the items I like to can. Seeds only cost about $1-3 a packet and each packet lasts about 2 years! That is total money saving madness right there!!!…

Let’s take a pledge to donate and be a blessing to others!
I have been cleaning out my stockpile and pulling together another donation pile. It got me thinking… why don’t we all pledge to buy an extra (5) items a week to donate?!?! This would be above and beyond the normal cleaning out your excess and donating that you may already do. I am thinking that if we all buy an extra (5) items specifically to donate… I currently have 918 Facebook Fans…if everyone pledges to buy (5) extra items to donate that would be 4590 items donated each week…at the end of a month that would be 20,655 items donated!!! That makes me super excited!!! There are so many people…

How to be a working mom (dad) and an Extreme Couponer!
I won’t lie it’s no walk in the park! But yes it can be done! There are a few things to remember…First of all find a way to organize your coupons in a way that fits your current lifestyle. (If you don’t have time to clip then use a filing method or clipping service!) This way if there is an awesome deal you really want you have everything easily accessible, resulting in saving time! The second thing to remember is that rainchecks are your best friend! To be honest if it wasn’t for rainchecks I probably wouldn’t be able to get 80% of my purchases. Working means that often times…
