Creating a Beautiful Fall Decor For Your Home on a Budget

I absolutely love decorating my house for different seasons. But I have to be honest, decorating for Fall is my absolute FAVORITE! I love everything about Fall, from the weather, to the pumpkins, to the rustic scenery. This year I wanted to put out some new stuff in my house, however with having a baby due any day now, spending a ton of money was just not an option. Thank goodness I found some very inexpensive supplies at Oriental Trading Company that I was able to use to make a few fun features throughout my house and still keep to my budget! Check out a few of my DIY projects I made below as well as a few items I purchased from Oriental Trading Company that really added the POP I needed in my house!
This is our entry way table/desk area. I love how it turned out! I got these beautiful Sparkly Gold Pumpkin votive holders and the large light up twine pumpkin from Oriental Trading Company. Put them in the hutch part of my table and added my own sterling silver candle holders and viola…beautiful!
Next was this super fun DIY project I made for our entry way in just 60 minutes time! I used the burlap ribbon from Oriental Trading Company, wreath forms from the Dollar Tree, cream colored spray paint, gold vinyl stencils (made with my Silhouette machine) and some fun foliage to decorate the top that I found at the Dollar Tree. I wrapped the burlap ribbon around the small wreath molds and used a dab of hot glue to hold them together. Next I cut the pumpkins purchased at the Dollar Tree in half and spray painted them with the cream colored spray paint.
Then made the gold lettered stencils with my Silhouette machine and placed them centered on the pumpkin halves. Lastly, I decorated the top piece with some silk flowers and foliage I had, as well as added a small piece of a 1 inch round stick I found outside to give each pumpkin a stem. It was really such an easy project and turned out amazing!
On our dining room table I used a nice little cage I already owned and added a few gourds I purchased from a local farmer as well as this super beautiful Fall Harvest Swag I got from Oriental Trading Company.
This project took only a few seconds and definitely adds a fun touch of fall to our dining room. If you don’t have a bird cage on hand, you could accomplish a very similar look by adding the gourds and swag to a tray or bowl. Viola!
This simple little wreath was another easy DIY project I made. I simply took some green burlap I had on hand as well as some brown burlap I bought in bulk from Oriental Trading Company and torn them into 2 inch by 6 inch pieces. Tied the burlap strips around a round wreath mold (I made mine with cardboard) and add a few burlap flowers (see how to make them HERE).
Put all of these simple DIY projects and totally affordable decor pieces purchased from Oriental Trading Company and viola…you’ve got an entirely NEW rustic Fall Decor for your home! I love how mine all turned out. I get so many compliments. Add a finishing touch of some fall scents in your house and you’ve got a master piece! Good Luck!
