Don’t Wait for the Truck – Walgreens has Ice Cream Treats Waiting For You!
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Walgreens and Global Influence. All opinions are honest and my own.
Growing up I lived in a small town. We had this little ice cream truck that was the size of a golf cart. The ice cream man had a few selections (most were freezer burnt LOL) and they never cost more than $0.50 each. And every single “warm” day he came driving through my neighborhood. I loved running to my piggy bank and grabbing a quarter and buying myself a cold treat with my neighbor friends. Wow have times changed. Now we have to worry about child abduction when it comes to the ice cream truck, or kids getting run over. In our current neighborhood (now in a big city) we hardly ever “see” our ice cream man. Even though we live on a street filled with kids, the ice cream truck seems to miss us regularly. We can hear him driving around but he always misses our street. On the rare occasion he actually drives down our street he drives sooooo fast. Seriously it’s scary. And if by chance we DO stop him, I am always in shock and awe how expensive ice cream treats are now -$2-$4 each! What in the world!
Don’t wait for the truck! Don’t spend your life savings trying to get your kids a nice cold treat. Save the the money and heart ache and head on down to your local Walgreens for an assortment of your favorite Unilever ice cream brands like Magnum, Frutare, Popsicle, Breyers and Klondike for a fraction of the cost. I know personally my kids don’t really care about getting their ice cream from the truck – they are just happy if they get a treat period. So create your own family memories and cool down with your favorite Magnum, Breyers, Klondike, Popsicle or Frutare bar as a family.
Since we already shop at Walgreens weekly for so many other deals I was excited to know I can now pick up my kids favorite Klondike bars and Popsicle’s for a great price! Walgreens is my favorite one – stop- shop for nearly all my families needs!
What is your favorite childhood “ice cream truck” memory? I can’t wait to hear yours!
