Hot Dots Jr Let’s Master Math and Reading Sets Product Review!!!

I have four kids and they all absolutely love learning games!  So I am always on the look out for great new fun educational games/tools for my kids. My youngest daughter Maiya is in Kindergarten this year. She started the year out pretty “green” she wasn’t doing real great recognizing her letters or numbers and of course wasn’t even close to reading.

She loves video games, computers and well anything that interacts or makes noises when she’s learning. And I love that if she is having fun she is more likely to actually learn. I was recently given the opportunity to review a awesome new product called Hot Dots by Educational Insights. Since Maiya is the one needing the most “extra” help I chose to review the Kindergarten version.

The Hot Dots Let’s Master sets are for grade levels Pre-K to 3rd Grade. Each grade comes with 2 book sets filled with TONS of  important skills that children need to master by the end of that current grade level. As a previous teacher I am always looking for educational tools that actually address and meet grade level standards (both Nationally and state wide) Each set comes with a Hot Dots interactive pen and 100 lessons on either math or reading and language art skills. Fifteen of the 100 lessons are challenge activities that prepare children for skills at the next grade level. Plus each set is just $24.99 and is currently available exclusively HERE.

We reviewed the Kindergarten version for my daughter Maiya. I found this version of the Hot Dots program easy to set up  and use. In fact, it is so easy we didn’t even need instructions to get started.  Plus it addressed the core principle needs we had for Maiya this year. The books come with questions with multiple choice answers, if she selects the correct answer it tells her she did a good job, but if she select the wrong answer it will make a little buzz sound for her try again. (I love that it allows her to keep trying until she gets the right answer!) Overall we really enjoy this set…it is a great supplemental educational tool!
