KidKraft Vintage Navy Kitchen Review: Image, Play, Grow
As a professional educator and a full time mom of four I can tell you that when it comes to encouraging development in children imaginative play is best! Helping kids reach their milestones is extremely important and pretend play is one of the most important milestones for a young child. Through imagination they are growing their minds, developing hand eye coordination and increasing speech. The KidKraft Vintage Kitchen offers kids the opportunity to pretend cook, clean and be like mom/dad.
Assembling the KidKraft Vintage Kitchen was relatively easy. It came with very clear instructions to follow. Each of the parts were clearly organized and labeled. Even though the instructions were very easy to follow, assembly still took a fair amount of time since there are so many parts to the kitchen. I was totally ok with the amount of time it took to build, since I could tell that each part was quality made and was further make an immaculate toy for my son.
As soon as my husband was finished building the kitchen we showed it to him. I wish I would have videoed his reaction. It was priceless! He loves is! He immediately run to the kitchen and pretended to wash his hands in the sink, make me some “juice” and feed me something “hot”. Every day since we originally showed him his kitchen his reaction has been the same. Honestly I think this kitchen was the best investment into my sons development I could have ever found.
I love that this KidKraft Vintage Kitchen comes in navy. It is perfect and masculine for my son. I love the quality of this kitchen. It is totally solid even for my rough little boy. As solid as it is – I love that it is light weight, small and easy to move around from room to room if we need to. Once the kitchen finds it’s permanent home, the assembly kit even comes with a wall mount so that if you want to secure it to a wall you can do so and keep it from tipping over on your little one (this is great especially if you have climber in the house). Every “door” opens and closes. The “refrigerator” even has an ice/water dispenser, where he likes to pretend to get a drink. The “oven” and “microwave” both have a see through window like the real ones in our kitchen. The “microwave” even has a functioning turn table and pretend buttons. My son absolutely loves to “beep beep” the buttons while he “heats” up some food. Oh and you can’t forget about the removable cordless phone. So cute!
As you can clearly tell from reading my review…I am a true believer of the KidKraft Vintage Kitchen. It’s awesome! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it for any little boy or girl. Buy it HERE on Amazon in a variety of colors (pink, navy, white, red, blue and more) for as low as $116 shipped!
