I am so excited to share this review with you! My kids absolutely LOVE snack pouches! All 4 of my kids, even my 10 year old down to my 1 year old. But they can be so expensive to buy when you have so many kids that want to eat them regularly!
Yummi reusable refillable pouches are perfect! They are so easy to fill, clean and use…and so much more cost effective and eco-friendly. I find that as a couponer I can coupon baby food jars for really really cheap or even free. This has left me with an abundance of baby food jars sitting in my stockpile and since all my kids eat baby food as snacks (they treat it like it’s an applesauce cup) they enjoy having them handy to eat. Unfortunately they are so inconvenient to pack around with us when are out and about.
Yummi pouches have been so great for our family! I simply take 1 jar of baby food (I used the Gerber stage 2 size) applesauce (or any flavor) and pour it into 1 of the 2.5 oz pouches…it fits perfectly! If you have bigger kids who require a larger snack I found that 2 of the baby food jars fits in the 6 oz pouches or 3 jars in the 10 oz pouches.
They are very easy to fill. Just pinch the mouth of the pouch open and pour the baby food directly in and pinch closed (like a ziploc baggie).
Cleaning is just as easy. Simply open the pouch up and run hot water through until in come out totally clear. I then put a drop of dish soap and again run hot water through until the water comes out no longer foamy.
Turn the pouch upside down and propped open to dry. I put them open on a wood kitchen spoon and allowed it to dip dry.
