How to Keep Your Baby Warm In the Winter
I received products for free in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions are 100% my own.
My newest addition will be here in just a few short weeks and of course here in Kansas it will most definitely be very cold. As most moms have tips, tricks and must-haves for keeping their little ones warm and cozy — I have a few of my own as well. I would love to share my tips I plan on using as my newest addition – baby #5 comes into this world during the coldest season of the year here in Kansas.
- Swaddle: As you know most newborns already enjoy the feeling and technique of swaddling, but during the cold seasons it become even more essential. If you are not very good at swaddling you can purchase a swaddling wrap that will work just as well! Wrapping your sweet little one up tightly while sleeping will help keep them warm and cozy all night long. If you have a bit older/bigger babies you can purchase a Sleep Sack.
- Warm Bedding: Placing soft flannel fitted sheets on your little ones crib will add a little additional warmth and comfort. You can also indulge your sweet baby with a cuddly soft fleece or plush blanket while holding them or traveling with them in a car seat. This sparkly plush nursery blanket by Just Born is perfect for wrapping your baby up and keeping them cozy. I just got one for my little guy and can’t wait to wrap him up in it!
- Dress in Layers: When leaving the house be sure to dress your baby in layers. Mittens, booties, hats, warm jackets, and bunting coveralls will all help keep your sweet bundle warm during those harsh cold winters. As it is very important to keep your little one warm thru the harsh cold weather, you must also remember to keep your little one safe. Please be careful when bundling your baby up in their car seat. Make sure the car seat straps are extra snug and keep their blankets and loose garments on the outside of the straps.
