Cascade Platinum Pacs and Cascade Rinse Aid Review + Giveaway #2
I received these products for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.
I love the new Cascade Platinum Dishwasher Pacs. They are truly amazing Cascade Platinum Pacs are unique as they actually clean your dishes better when you don’t pre-rinse them. They have a triple action formula that prevents residue and buildup on dishes and in the dishwashers.
Recently I was offered the opportunity to review Cascade Platinum Pacs and Cascade Rinse Aid. They asked me to make a few meals and allow the food stuck on the plate for 24 hours before washing (without pre-washing). I was nervous at first to follow these exact instructions, as I have an older dishwasher that really doesn’t seem to be working that well. However, I did it…I cooked and left the dishes in the sink unrinsed for 24 hours, then loaded them in the dishwasher and ran the load with my Cascade Platinum. WOWIE! I was shocked! My dishes came out soooo clean!
Next I hosted a small house party with several of my best friends and their kiddos. We had a morning playdate, so I made French Toast. I am a HUGE fan of breakfast for any time of the day! Since apples are in season we topped our French Toast with Apple Butter (recipe HERE). After indulging ourselves, the girls all got up ready to help me do the dishes. I explained that with my new Cascade Platinum I don’t rinse my dishes anymore. They all looked at me like I was crazy! We loaded up the dishwasher and ran it while the kids played some more. Just before they were all ready to pack up and go home, the dishwasher finished, so I had them come check out the results. Their reactions were priceless!
Tips for the Ultimate Dishwashing Clean:
- Use Cascade Platinum detergent and rinse aid.
- Skip the pre-wash. It’s true! This is a key step for success in the dishwashing process, and just about everyone gets it wrong! Here’s why you need to skip the pre-wash: Cascade Platinum works best when food soil is left on dishes because its special enzymes latch onto that food, breaking it down so it can wash away. If there’s no food soil, there’s nothing for the enzymes to attach to and your detergent isn’t working its hardest for you.
- In lieu of any pre-washing, simply toss the large bits of food into the trash or garbage disposal and then stop there. No need to run anything under the water. Just load into the dishwasher. This is a key time-saving tip that we hope you’ll greatly appreciate!
- Don’t worry about food left on the dishes damaging your machine or pipes. Few people know that there is a garbage disposal built into the bottom of almost all dishwashers – but there is! That disposal works exactly like the disposal in your sink.
