Veggie Tales – Beauty and the Beet Review & Giveaway
October 18, 2014/
I received a copy of this DVD for free in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions are 100% my own.
There is a brand-new VeggieTales Beauty and the Beet, staring Kellie Pickler(from American Idol, Dancing With the Stars). She brings her unmistakable voice to the role of Mirabelle, a sweet-potato singer whose family band is on the brink of superstardom. BEAUTY AND THE BEET blends the irresistible charm of VeggieTales with a heartfelt message about unconditional love. The DVD also includes Mac and Cheese, a giddy new “Silly Songs With Larry” segment in which Larry the Cucumber reveals the surprising and heretofore untold history of his family’s unexpected contributions to Italian cuisine. BEAUTY AND THE BEET is just the start of the fun in store this fall for VeggieTales fans, because the gang will also star in a brand-new Netflix original series,VeggieTales In the House, which premieres Thanksgiving weekend!
We have always been HUGE fans of Veggie Tales – now there is a new one that my kids can call their favorite! Beauty and the Beet tells the story of a family of singers and their dad the manager. They are becoming more popular and are heading to their biggest show yet when a snowstorm stops them right in front of an old inn, run by a grumpy old Beet. They don’t have enough money to pay for their stay so they work for their room. Mirabelle decides to show love to the Mr Beet even though he is a grouch old soul. In the conclusion of the movie everyone is transformed by her choice to show God’s love.
The Beauty and the Beet has 8 songs performed by Kellie Pickler (I love her voice!). The music is fun, encouraging and the story is perfect for teaching unconditional love. The movie also comes with some great special features including downloadable activities, behind the scenes footage (my son loved this) and more!
Enter to win a Beauty and the Beet DVD! Winner will be chosen October 24, 2014 and will have 24 hours to respond to my email. Good Luck 🙂
