TaxAct is a government owned free tax prep program…I have used the FREE TaxAct version for several years now!  I feel like since it is owned by the government and it does a complete audit check I am less likely to have any errors or red flags for an audit! Plus after filling out information for H&R Block, TurboTax and TaxAct I always feel like my best results come from TaxAct!

Even better if you own a small business you can file your business 1099 MISC for free!!! Both H&R Block and TurboTax required me to pay for an upgrade in order to put in my home business information!
