The Most Addicting Peppermint Bark Recipe
I have recently found my new holiday addiction/tradition – Peppermint Bark! This recipe is absolutely AMAZING! I could seriously eat it every single day! The best part of this recipe is that it is super easy and takes absolutely NO BAKING!
Ingredients
- 12 oz white high quality chocolate pieces
- 6 oz semi-sweet high quality chocolate pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (split in half)
- 4-5 candy canes, crushed
Directions
- Melt your milk chocolate pieces using the double boiler method. To create a double boiler pour 1-2 inches of water into a sauce pan and bring water to a simmer. Place a metal bowl over the top of the pan (not touching the water) and allow the steam to melt the chocolate.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the melted chocolate.
- Line a 8-9 inch pan with parchment paper and pour melted milk chocolate into pan. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until fully cooled and hard.
- In a separate bowl using the double boiler method melt white chocolate. Add 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract to the melted chocolate and mix well. Pour white chocolate over top the milk chocolate to create a layer. Sprinkle crushed candy canes and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Break the peppermint bark into large piece and store in an air tight container for up to 30 days.
