Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls (with Ice Cream and Caramel Drizzle)
You really don’t need a special occasion to enjoy these delicious little bowls of amazingness! I am one of those who just loves ice cream and hot cookies. So to add a little twist to one of my favorite desserts I decided to try making my cookie into the bowl for the ice cream! BRILLIANT! Not only is it super tasty but come on – it’s super cool! I made these up one night for my family (just because) and boy were they a BIG hit! They were all gone in a matter of seconds!
So here it goes…Let’s first say I recommend using your favorite Chocolate Chip recipe. If you aren’t in the mood to make a big mess – DON’T! There is no harm in buying pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough for this fun dessert! I actually purchased my chocolate chip cookie dough from Papa Murphy’s. You can also buy it from the grocery store in the refrigerated section (next to the biscuits).
What you will need:
- Cupcake tray (I used silicone since it makes removing the bowls much easier)
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Ice Cream (I like vanilla bean!)
- Caramel Drizzle
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take your cookie dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface. Find something round that is slightly larger then the backside of your cupcake tray rounds (I used a cup).
Using your cutter/cup cut out however many rounds you need for your cookie bowls. Gently lay your cut out cookie rounds over the backside of your cupcake tray and press/mold it to the tray.
Bake until golden brown (about 7 minutes). Let cool (until easy to handle) and remove from cupcake tray. Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle.
