Shabby Chic Kids Table Upcycle (Before & After)
Oh my goodness – I just LOVE how this kids table upcycle turned out! I was able to purchase this used woods kids table for just $10. It was pretty scratched up and the primary colors just didn’t work in my house – but after a little sanding and chalky paint they turned out amazing!
Supplies
- DecoArt Chalky Paint (I used colors Mint, Vintage and Treasure)
- Paint Brush
- Sand paper
- Wood Kids Table
- First if possible unscrew all of the legs off the tables and chairs.
- With a medium to light grade sandpaper, sand all wood pieces you plan on painting. They do not have be sanded down perfectly, simply enough to rough up the wood to help the chalky paint adhere better.
- Paint 2-3 layers of chalky paint. Let dry in between each layer (chalky paint dries about 2 x faster than normal paint).
- Put table and chairs back together and viola!
