Albertsons NEW policy change!!! It’s a goodie!!!

So there has been rumor for a while now that there will be a new coupon policy implemented at Albertsons. Usually when you hear about “policy changes” you start to worry…but no worries this time!!! Albertsons new policies are going to be for YOUR benefit. The new policy is not yet in effect, but you should expect to see the changes slowing happening starting VERY SOON.

Current Policy: “Coupons that exceed the retail value of an item will be adjusted to provide the maximum value, notexceeding the price of the item”

New Coupon Policy: “Manufacturer coupons that exceed the retail value of an item will have the remaining amount applied to the balance of the transaction. In the event the transaction balance results in a “credit”, additional items WILL be added/suggested to the order to utilize the remaining value of the coupon. Albertsons does not provide “cash back” on coupons, but provides full redemption value”

Example:  If you have a coupon for $2/1 off an item and the item only costs $0.99…the remaining $1.01 will be applied to the other items in your cart!!! YAY!!! This is how you are going to be able to score FREE produce and meat!

I am not a huge Walmart fan, but since they have been the only company up to this point to allow overage I have found myself going there so buy those products that aren’t so easy to coupon with my overage. I am so excited that I am now going to be able to take my coupons to Albertsons and do the same thing! They will not give cash back like Walmart, but I am just as happy to get FREE produce! Who says Extreme Couponing ruined everything? My opinion it had nothing to do with Extreme Couponing all the policy changes…policies change! Plain and simple fact! And like I have been saying for months…the policies were going to get strict and then probably loosen up again…and guess what? They did! Praise the Lord! I am so excited!

PS. On another positive note…we will be getting Twice the Value coupons for Albertsons this Sunday 12/18!!!
