The BEST Teriyaki Ginger Chicken Wings EVER!

Are you ready for the most mouth watering, melt in your mouth, amazing recipe? This Teriyaki Ginger Chicken Wings recipe has not only become a #1 favorite recipe in our house, but has definitely won over every single person who has ever tried them. We actually made these for some friends for the superbowl and they were definitely a major hit! (My BFF who actually doesn’t even eat meat off a bone, could stop eating them! Now that’s BIG!)

Chicken Wings Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Chicken Wings
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper

Teriyaki Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup grapefruit or orange juice
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 5 garlic cloves, halved
  • 3 sprigs green onion, chopped into 3 inch pieces
  • 2 inch piece fresh ginger
  • Cilantro (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spread chicken wings in a single layer over a baking sheet. Lightly drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.  Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, flip each chicken piece over and replace tray back into the oven and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Begin making teriyaki sauce in a large saucepan. Add all sauce ingredients to a large saucepan and simmer over low heat for approximately 10-15 minutes or until slightly thickened (reduced).
  4. Remove chicken wings from the oven and pour sauce over chicken wings. Replace wings back into the oven for another 15-20 minutes.
  5. Top with cilantro and/or fresh green onion and serve with Jasmine Rice
