Omaha Steaks – Amazing Meals for Entertaining on a Budget! #saveatomahasteaks #ad

First let me start off with saying that I grew up in a home of chefs. I am a snob when it comes to food. I do not like pre-made meals – I am make it scratch only kinda girl. So when I was asked to review Omaha Steaks meats and sides, I was excited to give it a try but a little hesitant.

When I showed up at my local store I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and design of the store. The two employees working at the time were beyond helpful and flamboyant. They took their time with each customer to share their opinions of each product, how to prepare it and even which sauces and spices would really make the finishing touch on each product.

The package I received from Omaha Steaks to try out included, Sirloin Steaks, Hamburger Patties, Stuffed Baked Potatoes and Apple Tartlets. Again let me be totally honest – I NEVER eat Sirloin steaks. Like I said I am a foodie snob and usually choose a Ribeye or Filet Mignon. So when they told me I would be trying their Sirloin I wasn’t super stoked. But I figured hey it’s worth a try!

Preparing these products was super easy! For the Sirloin I simply seared it in a hot stainless steel pan with a little butter and seasoning salt. I finished it off in the oven at 400 degrees for about 5 minutes. The potatoes and tartlets needed absolutely no prep at all I simply removed them from their individual packaging and put them in the oven (following the cooking instructions on the box). Oh boy! Was I surprised! Everything turned out amazing! The Sirloin was surprisingly moist and tasty! The potato was delicious cooked the way it came, however I am a cheese-aholic and added a touch of cheddar as a topping just for fun. And for the Apple Tartlets – scrumptious! Amazing! Delicious! OMG! Ok you got the point – I hate to admit it but it was almost as good if not a little better than my own Apple Tartlets! Shhh don’t tell anyone! They came with this absolutely amazing REAL caramel that melts in the center of the tartlet as it heats up. WOW!
