Peppermint Oreo Ice Cream Cake – A simple Holiday pleasure!

Ingredients
1/2 Gallon Peppermint Ice Cream
Container of Cool Whip
6-8 Oreo Cookies, finely crushed
2-3 TBSP Butter, melted
2-3 Candy Canes
1 Cup Hot Fudge (optional)
Directions
In a blender or food processor finely crush whole oreo cookies. Add cookie crumble to a bowl and mix in melted butter. Mix well. Pour cookie mixture into a spring form pan and press evenly to create a cookie crust. Put pan with the cookie crust in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Place the peppermint ice cream on the counter to soften, allow to sit for about 30 minutes. Pour ice cream into a large bowl and add cool whip. Mix well.
Remove the oreo cookie crust from the freezer and pour ice cream mixture onto the oreo crust in the spring form pan. Top ice cream mixture with softened hot fudge (optional). To soften hot fudge put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Spread hot fudge evenly over cake and top with crushed candy canes.
Put the whole cake in the freezer for 3-4 hours.
To serve remove from freezer, cut and serve immediately (ice cream melt quickly). Top with a drizzle of hot fudge, whip cream, crushed candy cane sprinkles and/or oreo crumble.
