Schlitterbahn the Perfect Family Friendly Fun Spot on a Budget!

Last summer we had the privilege of checking out the Schlitterbahn water park here in Kansas City.  As a larger family of 6 finding a family friendly fun spot that is within our budget is sometimes hard.  We were so excited to find Schlitterbahn Water Park. It is probably one of the most amazing family friendly water parks we have ever been to. 

I love that Schlitterbahn not only allows you to bring in your own food and drinks – they even encourage it. That alone saves my family $50-$100! We simply brought in a larger cooler filled with water bottles, sandwiches, snacks and goodies – our kids bellies stayed full and our budget stayed in tack!

I also LOVE that they offer tubes for FREE for everyone to use all day! My kids all loved “lazy river” and the child safe double tubes (perfect for keeping your little toddlers from falling out of the tubes!). My little guy was able to sit safely in the tube with me and ride through the park. Not only are these tube absolutely fabulous and free – they are literally at an abundance throughout the park. This was the first time in my entire life I did not have to fight for a tube or hold on to the same tube all day – they had spare tubes everywhere throughout the park!

If you live near a Schlitterbahn and have not given them a try – I highly recommend checking them out! Especially if you are looking for a fun, safe, family-friendly activity.
