Weekday Meal Plan Shopping List for 8/29-9/2

Remember with doublers this week you maybe able to get the cost of your weeks meal plan done to close to nothing! Depending on what you buy and if you earn yourself overage with Catalinas! Plus remember that you can use your Albertsons catalinas at Fred Meyers or QFC!!!  

Albertsons: 

  • (2) Whole Fryer Chicken, $0.79/lb (this is what I am gonna buy and then butcher the chicken into parts for cooking myself…this saves you a LOT of money!) **Or buy the Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, $1.99/lb (you will need about 6 lbs for this weeks meals)
    ***PS I am going to stock up on Chicken this week at this price and freeze it, so that my cost for next weeks meals will be less)
  • Fresh Pineapple ($3.99, but if you are buying Kellogg’s cereal this week with doublers you can get your Pineapple for $2.49! Go HERE to see this deal)
  • Kens Salad Dressing (FREE w/in-ad coupon and $1/1 Ken’s Dressing, exp. 9/30/11 (SS 08/14/11)
  • Ronzoni Pasta (FREE with doublers and $1/1 Ronzoni Garden Delight Pasta, exp. 9/10/11 (SS 05/15/11)
Safeway:
  • (4-6 bags) Fresh Express Salad Blends  (Free with $2/1 Fresh Express Salad coupon found in the Aug. Fresh Ideas Magazine in the produce department)
  • Candied Walnuts/Pecans
  • Veggies for your salad! (price varies)
Fred Meyer:  

  • Corn on the Cob, (6 for $2.00) 
  • Yellow and Green Zucchini, $0.69/lb (you will need approx 1 lb of each)
  • Basil (optional for pesto sauce, I got mine out of my garden!)
QFC:
  • Bell Peppers, $0.50/each (you may want to get a few at this price!)
  • Walla Walla Sweet Onions, $0.88/lb (you will need approx 3-6 lbs, depending on how much you like to use onions…this is a good price)
Costco: Here is a list of a few staples you might want to pick up. Remember that on average these will last you 3 months!
  • Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Artichoke Hearts

***I will also probably pick up my Pineapple at Costco this week….unless I can get it for free with my transactions at Albertsons this week!
