The Coolest Angry Bird Oreo Cookies EVER!

If you are throwing an Angry Bird party or know of any Angry Bird fans, these Angry Bird Cookies are absolutely perfect! They are just so much fun to make, super cute and the kids will go WILD! Checkout this extremely detailed instructional post – telling you exactly how to make these cookies yourself!

I just love how these cookies turned out! They look so professional, but are totally doable for anyone to make and enjoy!

These directions will make 1 dozen Angry Birds Oreo cookies:
4 red and 2 each of pigs, yellow, black and white birds

INGREDIENTS
12 regular Oreo Cookies
5 Tablespoons solid shortening
3/4 cup Wilton red candy melts
1/2 cup Wilton vibrant green candy melts plus 4 pieces
1/2 cup Wilton yellow candy melts
1/2 cup Wilton black candy melts
1/2 cup Wilton bright white candy melts
24 Wilton small candy eyes
2 black licorice wheels
1 white Airheads candy
Chuckles candy pieces (3 red, 2 yellow and 1 black)
Chocolate covered sunflower seeds (8 orange and 2 yellow)
2 red M&M’s – cut in half
White cookie icing pouch
Black cookie icing tube

DIRECTIONS TO MAKE OREOS
1.   Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and set aside.
2.   Add 1 Tablespoon of solid shortening to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 45 seconds. Add the red candy melts and stir until melted.

3.   Place 2 Tablespoons of the melted red chocolate in the bottom of 3 cookie molds.
4.   Place an Oreo on top of the melted chocolate. Cover the Oreo with 2-3 Tablespoons of melted chocolate or until the mold is filled and each Oreo is completely covered. Let “set” for 1 hour.

5.   Add 1 Tablespoon of solid shortening to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 45 seconds. Add the green candy melts and stir until melted.
6.   Place 2 Tablespoons of the melted green chocolate in the bottom of 2 cookie molds.
7.   Place an Oreo on top of the melted chocolate. Cover the Oreo with 2-3 Tablespoons of melted chocolate or until the mold is filled and each Oreo is completely covered. Let “set” for 1 hour.
8.   Repeat steps 5-7 using the yellow, black and white candy melts.

HOW TO DECORATE THE PIGS
1.   Pop the green Oreos (2) out of their molds and lay on your workstation/cutting board.
2.   Apply icing to the front of 2 green candy melts and turn them over to adhere to both Oreos for the nose. Place right in the middle of each cookie. Pipe 2 black dots on each nose for the snout.

3.   Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 candy eyes and press gently down on both green Oreos to the sides of the nose (not above the nose).
4.   Cut 4 strips from the licorice wheel- each strip 1/2 inch. Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 strips and apply to both Oreos just above the eyes for the eyebrows.

5.  For the ears of the 2 pigs, you will need 2 green candy melts. I just used a scissors, and did my best to cut 2 ear shapes from each melt. Attach them to the top of each head with a dab of icing.
5.   For the King Pig, cut out the shape of a crown from a yellow Chuckle candy piece and attach it to one of the green Oreos up at the top.

HOW TO DECORATE THE RED ANGRY BIRDS COOKIES
1.  Pop the red Oreos (4) out of their molds and lay on your workstation/cutting board.
2.  You will need 2 red Chuckles candies for the hair of 4 red Angry birds. Slice 6 pieces from one candy and 2 pieces from another) along the indented lines that are already there. You will need 8 pieces total. (6 from one piece and 2 from the other).

3.   Dab a small amount of cookie icing on the back of 2 candy pieces and place on the top of each red Oreo for the hair.
4.   Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 candy eyes and press gently down on each red Oreo.HOW TO

5.   Cut licorice into 8 strips – each strip 1/2 inch. Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 strips and apply to the red Oreos just above the eyes. These will be the eyebrows.
6.   Apply a dab of icing to the back of an orange sunflower seed. Place on all 4 red angry birds for the beak.

HOW TO DECORATE A WHITE ANGRY BIRD
1.   Pop the white Oreos (2) out of their molds and lay on your workstation/cutting board.

2.   You will need 1 black Chuckles candy piece for the hair of 2 white Angry birds. Slice 6 pieces along the indented lines that are already there on the candy.
3.   Dab a small amount of cookie icing on the back of 3 candy slices and place on the top of each white Oreo for the hair.

4.   Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 candy eyes and press gently down on each cookie.
5.   Cut 4 strips from the licorice wheel- each strip 1/2 inch. Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 strips and apply to both Oreos just above the eyes and underneath the hair for the eyebrows.
6.   Apply a dab of icing to the back of 2 yellow sunflower seeds and place on the cookies for the beak.

HOW TO DECORATE THE BLACK ANGRY BIRD

1.   Pop the black Oreos (2) out of their molds and lay on your workstation/cutting board.
2.   Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 candy eyes and press gently down on each cookie.
3.   You will need 1 red Chuckles candy piece for the eyebrows of 2 black Angry birds. Slice 4 pieces along the indented lines that are already there on the candy.

4.  Dab a small amount of cookie icing on the back of 2 red candy pieces and place above the eyes for the eyebrows.

5.   Apply a dab of icing to the back of 2 orange sunflower seeds. Place on both cookies for the beak.
6.  To make the time bomb at the top of their heads, gather a yellow Chuckle piece, licorice wheel and the white Airheads candy.
7.   With a scissors, cut 2 small circles from the airhead. Set aside.
8.   Cut 2 strips of licorice about 1 inch in length. Set aside.

9.   Cut 2 very small pieces from the yellow Chuckles candy for the wick- about the size of 1/2 a fingertip.
10.  Apply both candy “wicks” to the top of each licorice piece with a dab of icing.
11.   Attach each licorice piece at the top of each Oreo, starting right between the eyebrows with a small amount of icing.
12.   Apply icing to the back of both white Airheads pieces and place over the bottom of the wick, directly above the eyebrows.

HOW TO DECORATE A YELLOW ANGRY BIRD
1.     Pop the yellow Oreos (2) out of their molds and lay on your workstation/cutting board.
2.   You will need 1 black Chuckles candy piece for the hair of 2 yellow Angry birds. Slice 6 pieces along the indented lines that are already there on the candy.
3.   Dab a small amount of cookie icing on the back of 3 candy pieces and place on the top of each yellow Oreo for the hair.
4.   Apply a small amount of icing to the back of 2 candy eyes and press gently down on each cookie.
5.   Cut 2 red M&M’s in half. Apply a small amount of cookie icing to the chocolate sides and add 2 pieces (chocolate side down) to each Oreo above the eyes for the eyebrows.
6.   Apply a dab of icing to the back of 2 orange sunflower seeds. Place on both cookies for the beak.
