Weekly Meal Plan: Tuesday Cabbage and Kielbasa soup

Tuesday: Cabbage and Kielbasa Soup, with Sherbet for dessert 

Ingredients:

    • 1 1/2 cup diced Kielbasa (Price Chopper Eckridge Sausage only $0.78 after coupon)
    • 1 head of cabbage chopped (HyVee 2lbs/$1.00)
    • 2 cans of Chicken broth (or 2 cubes chicken bouillon)
    • 2 cups of water
    • 2-3 tbsp Butter
    • Salt and Pepper
    • 1 finely chopped onion
    • 1 clove diced garlic
Directions:
  1. Drizzle 2 tbsp Olive Oil in a Dutch Oven. Saute chopped Kielbasa until browned. Saute Finely chop 1 onion and garlic until almost translucent. Add chopped cabbage and saute until soft.
  2. Add Chicken broth and water to mixture. Bring to a boil. Let simmer for approximately 10 minutes.
Final Cost for meal: $4.00
